Grooves are a striking architectural detail—but they demand accuracy. PVC Groove Beads make forming crisp, consistent shadow lines far easier by eliminating the need to trowel render into the groove itself. For added peace of mind, the mesh-backed variant ties the bead into the main reinforcement layer, helping to reduce the risk of hairline cracking at the groove edges—especially valuable on EWI/ETICS façades.

Available with mesh (for thincoat/EWI) and without mesh (for monocouche), these beads deliver sharp lines, fast installation, and long-term durability. PVC is light, corrosion-proof, easy to cut, and ideal for exterior use, ensuring clean results on modern façades, feature bands, and alignment lines.

    Why choose our Groove Beads?

    • Crisp, repeatable lines: Form precise grooves without packing render into the recess.

    • Crack resistance (mesh option): Meshed bead ties into the reinforcement layer to help prevent stress cracks at the groove.

    • System-ready: Options for thincoat/EWI (with mesh) and monocouche (without mesh).

    • Fast & tidy: PVC profile is simple to cut and place, saving time on site.

    • Durable finish: Impact and weather resistant, won’t rust.

    What is a Groove Bead?

A profile that creates a clean, straight recess (shadow line) in your render. It removes the need to fill the groove with material, speeding up set-out and delivering consistent results.

    Which version should I choose?

    • With Mesh — for Thincoat/EWI: Integrates with the basecoat mesh to manage stresses and minimise hairline cracking at groove edges.

    • Without Mesh — for Monocouche: Suited to decorative grooves where extra reinforcement at the groove isn’t required.

    Compatibility

    • Thincoat/EWI systems: Use the mesh-backed bead.

    • Monocouche renders: Use the non-mesh bead (mesh version only if a specification explicitly requires extra reinforcement).

    Installation Overview

    • Thincoat/EWI: Bed the mesh bead into the basecoat, align with chalk/laser lines, and tie its mesh back into the main façade mesh. Prime and finish as per system guidance.

    • Monocouche: Set the non-mesh bead during the first pass; allow to firm up and finish/scrape per the manufacturer’s instructions.

    Sizes & Selection

Available in multiple groove widths and depths to suit common design details and render thicknesses. Select a profile that matches your specified groove dimension and system build-up.
