Application

When using a Venetian trowel, the plaster is applied in thin layers, with each layer allowed to dry before applying the next. The trowel is used to spread the plaster evenly and then to burnish or polish the surface. The burnishing process involves rubbing the trowel over the dried plaster in a circular motion, which smoothens the surface and enhances its sheen. It requires skill and practice to use the trowel effectively, as the technique and pressure applied during the burnishing process can greatly impact the final result.
