The Universal Fixing Disc – 60mm is a versatile insulation support collar designed for use with screw-in EWI fixings, including timber and sheet-steel screws. It provides a secure anchoring surface for insulation boards when installed on timber substrates, sheet metal, fibre-cement boards, and OSB/plywood. Manufactured from durable polymer, the disc distributes load evenly across the insulation surface and helps reduce the risk of board damage or pull-through.

The disc includes an integrated cap to minimise thermal bridging and seal the fixing head, offering a clean and durable finish. Application

Preparation

• Confirm substrate type (timber, OSB/plywood, fibre-cement, thin steel sheet).
• Select appropriate screw (e.g., timber screw or thin-sheet steel screw).

Installation steps

1. Position the fixing disc against the insulation surface.
2. Insert the selected screw through the disc centre.
3. Drive the screw into the substrate until the disc sits flush — avoid overtightening.
4. Continue fixing to required density and pattern for system design.
