PRO-684 DECO Lime Primer is a ready-to-use, breathable primer formulated with natural lime and mineral additives. It is designed to regulate substrate absorbency, improve adhesion and create a stable bonding layer before decorative lime and mineral finishes are applied. By helping control suction while maintaining vapour permeability, it provides the right foundation for decorative work where breathability and finish quality both matter.
Intended Uses
PRO-684 DECO Lime Primer is used as a preparatory coat before mineral plasters, limewash paints and lime-based decorative finishes within the DECO range. It is suitable for high-absorption substrates such as plaster, masonry, stone and brick, and can be used on interior and protected exterior surfaces where breathability is required.
Why Choose PRO-684 DECO Lime Primer?
- Ready to use for straightforward application
- Helps regulate substrate absorbency
- Improves adhesion for subsequent decorative finishes
- Maintains vapour permeability
- Suitable for high-absorption mineral backgrounds
- Suitable for interior and protected exterior surfaces
Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be clean, dry, stable and free from dust, grease, oil, mould, efflorescence and any loose or friable material that may affect adhesion. Unsound coatings should be removed, and any cracks or hollows should be repaired using compatible fillers or mortars before application. Surfaces should be smooth and even before priming, as the product will not hide texture variation.
Product Preparation
PRO-684 DECO Lime Primer is supplied ready to use and should be mixed thoroughly before application to achieve a uniform consistency.
- Stir thoroughly before use
- Apply undiluted
Application
Apply evenly by brush or roller, ensuring full and consistent coverage. The recommended application is two coats, allowing a minimum of 6 hours between coats. On highly absorbent substrates, additional coats may be required.
Application Conditions
Apply only when air and substrate temperatures are between 5°C and 30°C. The product should be allowed to dry fully before subsequent finishes are applied.
