    The uPVC Flexible Window Sill Bead with Mesh creates a neat, reinforced connection between a window sill profile and the adjoining external wall insulation or render system.

    A softened, flexible section allows the bead to adjust to the inclination of the sill and accommodate minor movement between the sill and insulation. This helps maintain a continuous connection while reducing stress around a detail that can otherwise be vulnerable to hairline cracking.

    The integrated double-sided PE foam tape bonds the bead to the underside of the sill profile, helping form a close and consistent junction without requiring additional joint filling. The profile also helps protect the connection against weather exposure and reduce the penetration of cold air and moisture around the sill detail.

    A 100mm fibreglass mesh wing allows the bead to be embedded securely within the reinforced basecoat layer, creating a strong transition into the surrounding EWI system.

    Manufactured from corrosion-resistant uPVC, the bead is supplied in a 2m length for use with compatible external wall insulation, ETICS and render systems.

    Application Note

    Ensure the underside of the window sill profile is clean, dry and free from dust, grease or other contamination before applying the foam tape.

    Adjust the flexible section to follow the sill angle, then press the adhesive strip firmly against the sill profile. Embed the fibreglass mesh fully into the wet basecoat without folds or voids and overlap it with the main reinforcement mesh in accordance with the specified EWI system details.
