    The Window Corner Reinforcement Mesh is designed to provide additional reinforcement at the corners of window and door openings, where concentrated stress can increase the risk of cracking.

    Its shaped, three-dimensional design covers the wall face, the edge of the opening and the adjoining reveal. This provides consistent reinforcement across the complete corner detail without requiring installers to cut, fold and position several separate pieces of fibreglass mesh.

    An extended diagonal section strengthens the area extending away from the corner of the opening. This helps distribute stress through the reinforced layer and reduce the risk of hairline cracks developing within the basecoat or finished render.

    The reinforcement mesh is supplied ready to embed into the wet basecoat or compatible plaster. This helps save time during installation while supporting a neat and repeatable finish across multiple openings.

    Suitable for use within compatible EWI and ETICS systems, external render applications and internal plaster systems, the mesh also incorporates protective tape to support cleaner application around the opening.

    Application Note

    Apply the basecoat or compatible plaster around the corner of the opening and position the reinforcement while the material remains wet.

    Ensure the mesh sits flat across the wall face, opening edge and reveal without folds, voids or raised sections. Fully embed the mesh and smooth the material through its surface.

    Install the main reinforcement mesh with the required overlaps in accordance with the selected system specification. This corner reinforcement should be used in addition to, rather than as a replacement for, the main mesh layer.
