Roofline Closure System – Downstand

The Roofline Closure System – Downstand is designed to be used in applications where the applicator is screwing fixings from below. It is available in various different depths to house different thicknesses of insulation. The Downstand RCS integrates into the overall RCS to create a completely waterproof seal, thus ensuring water falls away from the EWI system. 

This RCS complies with PAS2035 standards and can, therefore, be used in ECO4, SHDF, HUG, etc installations. Please seek out compliance training with the system designer (EWI Pro Insulation Systems) prior to installing the RCS. 

As per the new RCS regulations, each piece must overlap the insulating system by at least 40mm (normal exposure) or at least 50mm in severe weather zones. For certain projects requiring a 50mm overlap, the pieces can be made upon request, with an additional minimum lead time. Typically, this is expected to be at least one week.  

For example, with 90mm of insulation in situ, the Upstand RCS will need to be at least 140mm deep. 100mm EWI system will require at least 150mm deep RCS profiles. 

All RCS profiles are fabricated with a 10-degree pitch to facilitate water runoff.
