SKU: ROC-470-90
Reviews & Ratings
Dual-density Rockwool slab did the job. Spot on for fire regs. Brill.
worth the extra cash for the A1 rating and proper soundproofing. Dual density stone wool meant a class finish, the render went on sound. Brill.
Proper kit. Dual density surface spot on for render keying. Fire rating A1 is decent for B.C.
Dual density, A1 rated, keying spot on. Sound absorption is brill next to a busy road, something phenolic cant match. Will spec this rockwool again.
brill! The acoustic job on this slab is the real winner against thinner boards. Top quality product.
a1 fire spec & soundproofing is class. Conductivity spot on for savings, but expected higher R-value gain for the overall slab weight.
Dual density boards where bang on. Proler easy job to fit them. Sound quality is brilliant and the fire rating is safe.
Top insulation. Dual Density is brilliant for lumpy walls takes the basecoat well. A1 fire rating is why I bought it. Sound value for the quality.
The coverage quote was spot on, didn't need to order an extra pack, which saved us a pain! Dual density works great and takes the EWI-225 well. Sound and A1 fire rating. Top kit.
Worth every single penny.
A1 fire safety is sound, but wrong slabs initially held us up a day.
Dual density solid. Good acoustic. Too heavy for scaffolds & fixing kit missing.
Dual density is superior for render.
Rock solid! Soft layer fixed the uneven wall. What a base for the render.
Cracking stuff. Boards went up dead flush. Dual-density layer made basecoat easy. Highest fire rating at a fair price. Sorted.
Spot on insulation. The A1 rating and dual density layer for uneven brickwork are brilliant. Noticed the difference straight away. Great stuff!
Wrong address error by staff cost me thousands in wasted waes. Delivery was an absolute JOKE, making me look like a plonker to the foreman! Don't use EWI they CANT mnage basic logistics. A FAFf and a shambkles!!!
delivery schedule for this was an absolute JOKE. i wasted two whole days of lads' wages waiting for this rubbish. the website slot was wrong the email was wrong utter shambles. had to phone CS four times for a tracking number that NEVER worked. Pallet arrived soaked and the dual density felt poor quality. disgraceful logistics DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY MATE. abysmal.
brill! Dual density worked well on uneven walls. Great performance (acoustic, fire). But, seriously heavy lifting. Needs the full 7 fixings, which felt tedious. Abrasion issue on inner slabs from lack of facing.
A1 rating justifies the cost. Adhesion is sound but the dual density amde cutting awkward. Took too long for bespoke slabs. Proper job though.
A1 fire rating & that dual layer system sorted the job fast. Proper peace of mind. Zero movement when rendering. Good stuff.
This Rockwool is spot on. Went up smooth, quiet now, and I know Building Control will accept the top tier A1 standard. Premium quality investment.
A1 fire rated. Dual-density made the render bang on.
decent A1 slabs holds render well. Slow to secure 7 fixings.
Wrong thickness every slab chipped when cutting. this rockwool won't hit the thermal numbers, complete rubbish
Brill! Decent quality kit. A1 fire rating is class, well worth the price for the safety alone. Too many mechanical fixings needed per m² though, dragged the install a bit on this job. It's hefty compared to standard EPS and the extra 2 or 3 plugs/sqm really eats up the time. Good slab tho.
wasted a premium price on these slabs just for them to BOWL outard once the sun hits!!! after waiting 3 weeks for dleivery it tuns out mineral wool isnt even rigid enough to handle the thrermal movement. for this outlay i should have got the stability of kingspan K5 phenolic, all that a1 fire rating is useless if the final wall is wavey. its going to cost a fortune to fix. absolute rubbish ewi. never again
Cracking kit. A1 fire proofing. Job done.
Dual density is spot on. Levelled wall out easy and took the render.
Rock-solid slab. Dual density worked perfect with EWI-225. House is quiet & warm.
Brill slabs, mate. The acoustic blocking is massive, our house is so much quieter now (right next to the main road). A1 fire rating is decent peace of mind too. The dual density is spot on, really helps hide the dodgy old brickwork and leaves a proper smooth base for the top coat. Couldn't fault it. Sorted.
aWFUL. This DUAL DENSITY Rockwool is an absolute nightmare layers just delaminated while trimming it producing enough dust to choke a man! Inconsistent slab size too leaves huge gaps. and they sent packs soaked through and OUT OF DATE clearly breached storage conditions!! CUSTOMER SERVICE ghosted us over the wrong size shipped mate. For this price (
You paid £21.87 for it (£26.24 incl. VAT).
) its proper bad. Should have gone for Kingspan.
Brill. A1 rated stone wool. Dual density saved the back wall, took the fixings perfect. One slab corner bashed up, plus delivery delay. Solid 4 stars.
brilliant! Quiet inside now. Total noise reduction is spot on, worth the extra over foam for A1 fire rating.
Spot on thermal performance, cracking fire spec. Too heavy!
Acoustic insulation good, but its pricy mind.
waitex all flipping day for thfse thermal slabs. delivery failed to show up NO call, NO text. total waste of time, proper shambles!!!
A1 rated stuff, decent boards. Just a slight traffic delay on delivery.
brill. way better than foam felt robust and cut decent. The dual density is mint for hiding poor substrate. Plus, A1 fire rating gives client peaec of mind. Proper job.
A1 quality rockwool. Thermal perf excellent, cuts clean. DD makes basecoat application proper smooth on walls. Very heavy slabs tho. Took ages getting hold of CS.
tOTSAL BOGUS. I cannot beleive how bad these boards are so heavy. EWI-225 (which I waited days to reciweve) juxst WOULDNT STICK despite us doing the wall prep correct. The premium adhesive couldn't hold this slab and it caused massive rework. Lost half a day mate just sorting this mess. proper rubbish don't waste your money.
Lifesaver! Dual density ixed the bumpy wall, fire rating is brilliant.
Rockwool. Top quality. Supee quiet!
Proper job dual density slabs
Duao density is bob on for bumpy walls. Stayed dry during the rain. Cracking.
dual density structure makes laying easy on older walls. The A1 rating is massive but cost slightly too high.
a1 spec, perofrmance is spot on. Density split felt too sharp.
dual-ensity layer came aaprt easily, ended up with damahed edges leading to trimming wasyte. Sizes were a bit hit/miss too. Plus, the final silicone render colour cured all wrong, might be too bretahable/moisture sensitive for standard renders? Was a pain, wouldn't use again unless the fire rating was non-negotiable.
High quality slabs definitely top-spec kit for thermal and acoustic performance (the A1 fire rating is key peace of mind on current jobs). The dual density surface makes embedding the mesh simple. However installation is lsower and more taxing than EPS. Slabs are heavy (needs a two-man lift on scaffld) and having to fit a minimum of 7 mechanical fixings per m² added extra labour time that really pushes the budget. Brilliant performance, but you pay the price in material and man-hours.
Nearly five. A1 for build control, wicked. Just needed proper signage on the pallet about inner/outer density.
Brill for acoustics and fire. Rockwool just works. The A1 rating and dual density slab were sound. Much better than that flimsy EPS rubbish.
Top stuff. Dual density gets you a dead-flat finish. Sorted the job proper, no messing.
bloody waste of a morning trying to figure out corner fixings. no decent instructions.
Rockwool Dual Density slabs are brill. Great key for the render. A1 fire proofing & wicked acoustic benefits.
Proper job! Rockwool's A1 rating gives total peace of mind for high-rise. Dual density boards were sound, great substrate for the basecoat.
Cuts clean and the dual density handled all wall imperfections perfectly. Soundproofing and fire rating are excellent. Brill!
rockwool dd slabs are an absolute shambles, worst I’ve ever fitted. paid a PREMIUM price for this special stuff but the layers were all over the place. the lower density side was hard as rock on most boards so they dont even fit flush to the wall right. the high density layer felt like muck on others—try getting proper grip with ewi-225 basecoat on that, total nightmare. absolute rubbish. stick to knauf or cheap EPS mate. Awfull waste of my money.
DD slab nailed the uneven substrate. No fuss fitting. Sorted the job!
Worth the extra quid. This dual density slab is brilliant, not just on performance, but how much time it saves on install. The soft backing accommodates typical wall issues instantly. You still get a super hard base for the render (that high density layer), making it an easy job to mesh and finish. A1 fire rating is spot on. Acoustic quality is surprisingly impressive next to a busy road. Perfect insulation!
A1 rating secured sign-off straight away. The DD side settled flat quickly and the finished render surface looks top notch. Great stuff.
Amazing kit. Lighter than I thought cuts clean. Dual density spot on for old walls!
It does the job, A1 fire rating guaranteed, but too dear compared to Knauf mineral wool. QC felt patchy, some boards were off thickness meaning more labour and shimming and the soft side crumbled easy when sanding. Passable for safety but costs way too much.
A1 fire safety met. Dual density saved loads of levelling prep. Brill!
Great slab, A1 rated, cuts clean. But the installation guide is weak on the basecoat specs.
Dual density kit is cracking. Sits snug and level evej on bumpy walls. Tops.
Proper safe (A1). Dual density makes skimming aesy. Top tier!
a1 fire rated and proper rigid slabs which meant minimal wastage. The tgiht fit made the job go quick. Excellent value for this rockwool. Brill!
a1 non-combutsible is a relief. Dual density outer layer means basecoat skimming is proper fast.
Brill! Holds render well.
A1 rated boards. Keeps the site regs simple. Dual density outer skin glued up spot on with EWI-225. Quality product.
Amazing! Inner density bedded perfect on the wall. A1 compliance is essential. Price felt steep tho.
Rockwool is brill! Dual density meant the basecoat went on spot on. Chuffed with the thermal performance and that crucial A1 rating. Sorted.
V solid material. Fire safety is sound.
Excellent board that A1 non-combustible rating is spot on for compliance/peace of mind. Density felt really substantial and the high-density face takes the render well. Acoustics are decent too.
Downsides: It's heavy; doing a single man lift up the scaffold ladder was a proper strain. Price is slightly higher than some other mineral wools and you have to use the EWI-225 Premium Basecoat which bumps up the adhesion costs. Had a bit of faff with the first few boards too because the key coat was too watery at the start making them slip about. Almost perfect installation, but takes slightly more effort on site.
Average performance. Went with this purely for the A1 fire rating. That part is sound.
But the rest is a bit of a faff and honestly too soft. Looked beefier online, felt almost flmsy when handling. The compressive strength minimum they quote is low, felt every bit of that 10 kPa. Ended up hammering in way more fizings than 7 per m2, because relying jus on the adhesive felt weak.
The installation guide about the watery coat was vague, caused extra hassle. Its acceptable, but I felt this was overpriced given the faff, and the delivery chrage on top was excessive. I suspect the R-vsalue is slightly optimistic for rezl world use. It works, but theres probably better stff if you can sacrifice the A1 rating.
Top kit, solid boards. The dual-density design helps hide wall snags and makes basecoat simple. A1 fire safety peace of mind sorted.
A1 rated & cuts well. Dual density is sound for wonky walls.
a1 quality, tight fixing.
Proper gear, top sound reduction. The A1 fire rating sells itself, right. Chuffed.
Worth every penny! Dual-density outer layer meant the EWI-225 Basecoat went on rock solid. No issues. Plus, it's A1 for fire. Brilliant kit.
Dual density boards were spot on. Takes the basecoat a doddle.
The dual density feature is brilliant for real world jobs. Low layer hid imperfections, render application was flawless. Top quality kit!
a1 rated, the slab's great; easy enough to prep basecoat. Delivery was a proepr nuisance though. Buyin' more kit anyway.
Cuts easy. Dual density meant the wall was dead flat. Worth every penny, that!
Brilliant A1 rating means no drama with the BC inspection, but they defo cost a premium over rivqal wool especially bought singular.
A1 fire rating is key now. Dual density slabs bed right in on wonky walls. Cuts install time massively. Brill.
Absolutely sound. Dual desity makes all the difference for a quick flat finish Worth every penny.
Biblical rain all morning. Dead chuffed that the pallet wrapping was sound
the heavy A1 rated rockwool was bone dry inside. Saves us humpin soggy boards up the scaffolding, which would've taken hours. Cuts properly clean, fits like a glove on the dodgy blockwork. Will order again.
the dual dsnsity lamination is A JKOE. The back layer peeled off every board just lifting it onto the scaffolding! Spent hours making up for their shoddy glue. Wasted site time & money. AWFUL!
stone wool fine. Price felt steep.
Dual density is spot on. Went up easy and the thermal benefit is immediate.
Rockwool delivers. Came quick, driver was sound. The dual-density feature really sorted out the slightly wonky wall we had. Boards cut clean. Top material, hits the A1 safety target and sounds miles better inside now. Great choice.
Rockwool dual density slabs are top gear. A1 fire rated, which makes you sleep easy, and they went up dead easy. The best EWI board around. Brill!
Solid A1 rating gave proper peace of mind. Great smooth render finish with EWI-225, though lugging those dense slabs up the scaffold was tiring work.
Perfect! Dual Density slab is brilliant. A1 non-combustible material gave total fire assurance, and it made the wall solid and quiet. Cuts good, installs easy. Top job, couldn't be happier.
A1 rating secured. Quality is great, but damaged edge wasted a piece. Still solid.
This dual density gear took the wall wonk instantly. Basecoat sat great on the high-density layer.
Great gear. Dual density sat spot on against my old brick wall. Class A1 non-combustible is top security. Rockwool never fails you.
A1 rating brill, but K-val felt slightly low.
Rockwool kit is sound gear. Went up easy and the initial coat worked flawlessly. Top-tier A1 safety. Couldn't be happier!
A1 fire safe. Grear acoustics and dead easy fitment.
a1 fire rated and high density boards are proper solid. Bit of a sod requiring all those extra fixings.
Proper A1 rockwool. Dual density made the render prep a dpoddle. Thermal performance is spot on and the acoustic rating is class. Recommended.
A1 rated and required for high-rise spec. Great R-value & acoustic absorption. But thesr heavy slabs are a proper shlep to cut cleanly on the scaffold.
Proper job stone wool, that A1 fire safety is massive. Dual density made the rendering sound.
Thermal performance is spot on. Dual density base went down fine. They're heavy mind. Shame the pallet was knackered.
Dul density saved loads of prep. A1 fire rating. Brill.
Good kit. The A1 fire rating is key for Building Control sign off. DD surface takes the adh mix spot on. They are heavy sods to manoeuvre. Had to throw on extra fixings above the spec minimum. Bit dusty cutting it.
Dual-density rockwool is min. A1 peace of mind and cut like butter!
proper rip off. feels way too light to be dual density total joke compared to the cost i payed for these. got scammed mate it felt like polystyrene inside. they are clearly skimping on the density bulk and charging premium. that's a right disappointment and slowed the job down too. useless stuff. avoid.
Cracking slabs. Dual density sorts all the minor snags, took the basecoat perfect. A1 fire rating gives top peace of mind for the certifier. Really noticed the acoustic performance as well. Spot on kit.
The softer side accommodated humps. Proper basecoat surface, thanks!
Top-notch acoustic and thermal slab. Bang on for A1 spec.
