Right sturdy bit of kit this. Done the job dead on. The aluminium quality is seriously decent, felt solid and straight which saved a load of faffing about with alignment. Used the correct width and the fit against the board was perfect. Most importantly the Clip-on Profile we bought with it clipped right in place no bother. Saves time and looks the business. Brill!

Absolute joke. I ordered the 100mm starter track needed for the depth but they sent something skinny
in—completely useless. Thid small error on a basic itenm means my whole schdule is messed up. pklus this 0.6mm track is flimsy, zero confidence it’ll hold the EWI boards correctly.

RUBBISH. honestly a total nightmare right rom the start. the 0.6mm thickness is an absolute JOKE its basically floppy itnfoil. i tried to secure the run firmly using standard fixinsg and it was completely impossible the metal bows out when you tension it, pulling away from the wall constantyl. zero rigidity. wasted hours trying to level a material that simply isnt fit for purpose. how are we meant to rely on this stuff to hold an ewi system. its cost me massive project delays. asave yourself the time and buy 0.8mm from literally anywhere else.

Right listen up this is total RUBBISH. flimsy nonsense not the 0.6mm gauge its more like 0.4 i think. it bent when i fixed it then instantly started turning orange where it hit the damp wall so much for aluminium. driver was useless refused to help me offload the scored up box and i got charged for a clip profile that never showed. complete faff set my schedule back.

This aluminium track is a solid bit of kit. We needed the 80mm width, it matched the boards perfectly and went up dead straight with no warping. Fixing quick at 300mm centres was simple and the clip-on profile we got fits perfectly for that neat finish. Good value for money and the delivery was prompt, saved us hassle on the schedule.

Proper bit of metalwork, this is. Solid enough to take the weght and withstand the weather—no messing about. Fixing it was straightforward. Only docked a star 'cause needing that clip-on profile separate is pure faff and felt buried in the listing. Turns one order into a nuisance. Good job overall though.

Meh, it's alright. The 0.6mm ali is too thin honestly, zero backbone. Took a proper age setting up the base straight, needed shimming loads just to keep the level across the runs. Plus, it arrived slightly dented cause the packing was rubbish. Does the job in the end though. Could be better.

Proper solid bit of kit. The 0.6mm thickness isn't half sound; that's the difference between rigid foundation kit and the cheap flimsy stuff online that bends if you look at it wrong. Fired straight on the wall—a doddle to fix at the 300mm centres. The quick install saved me a chunk of time. I also bought the matching clip-on profile, worked completely seamless. Really chuffed with the purchase, the price is sot on for the quality you get. I recommend it.

TOTAL NIGHTMARE KIT. wrong width delivered which put my EWI schedule days late and then i see the quality! the 0.6mm gauge buckled INSTANTLY with adhesive load its supposed to be load-bearing! It even had a slight bend on arrival due to poor packing... just unusable. This advertised corrosion resistance is a joke; my "alumimium" rusted slightly after one rain storm. Why force us to buy the clip-on profile mesh separate?? Wasting everyone's time this track is absolute RUBBISH! AWFUl, avoid!!!

Robust & Does the Job
The tracking is sound gauge for the load. Robust stuff. The fixings were a bit fiddly to sit perfectly flush with the wall but alignment was quick—the 300mm centres mark out easily using the track itself. I'd recommend it based on material strength alone, plus the specific width (e.g. 60mm) fit perfectly under the insulation. Buying again for the next section, but note it doesn't come with the mesh/clip-on profile which does add a bit to the overall component cost.

aGBSOLUTE B***ER. This track is SHODDY scrap. Said 0.6mm felt like tinfoil and bent immediately. Wrong widhh for the insulation board, warled easily, and the 'lCip-on Profile' wouldn't seat properly either. Fixing points were miles off 300 centreswhat a joke! Wasted an entire day fighting this component only for it to tarnish overnihgt. I've now got to re-order better kit. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME or money on this.

SHAMBLES. waited all day for nowt because the delivery failed with no call wasting my bleedin' time. then this bent piece of 0.6mm "robust" alloy arrives wrong width and with mesh I told you I didn't want. it bent when i handled it felt thinner than tracing paper and started to rust within a week. absolute stitch-up! your customer service was dismissive and the return process is an impossible palaver. never buying here again.

—losyt half a day's graft waiting around for NOTHING to arrive after a missed window. ZERO call or apology. When I finally sourced an alternative track elsewhere it was superior qualiyt (better finish, thicker feel than oyur supposed 0.6mm) and significantly cheaper. This EWI one is poor quality AND overpriced. Cost me time AND money. Proper amateurs.

Decent track, good value for the price. The width was spot on for my 60mm boards, and it fixed neatly under the DPC layer—bolted straight on. Install tiem was quick, which is key.
Only gave it 4 stars because the 0.6mm gauge feels a tad light compared to others. I'm concerned the front edge might bend a bit when the render goes on. Also had a slight struggle with Customer Service resolving a damaged piece, but they got there in the end. Solid kit otherwise.

Honestly, what a relief. After using some proper muck from a cheap supplier last time, this is the business. The 0.6mm gauge metal is solid, dead simple to fix up. Came straight, packageing was sound. Matched the board width perfect, and the clip on profile went on first time—no need to file or force anything. Proper foundation for the render system. It saves labour time and that's money saved on site. Worth every penny for a quality product like this.

awful. that 0.6mm track is proper pants it warped into a banana shape when the sun hit it! not aluminium scrap metal pretending it handles weather awful dodgy quality. the rough ends sliced my hand up, absolute waste of money, binning this cheap kit.

this stuff is an absolute joke. £7.69 for a length of aluminium foil, the 0.6mm gauge is nowhere near strong enough to support the board, it bends if you look at it sideways. it arrived warped and useless because the driver clearly smashed the parcel up, adding a few hours labour to an already tight day.
i sliced my hand trying to handle one length as the edges are **DANGEROUSLY SHARP**.
this is rubbish, its not fit for purpose and should be 1.0mm minimum!! a massive time waster.

Alu starter track felt sound. The recommended width for the EWI board was spot on, which saved us time faffing about trying to line things up perfectly. Seems robust enough against the damp/corrosion.
Only dropped a star because it would save proper labour time if these came with pre-drilled holes for fixing. Still did the job reliably.

Solid track good bit of kit and the correct width was spot on for my EWI board. Looks like proper stuff and holds up to the recent heavy rain so the corrosion resistance is sound which is key for this level. Installation was dead quick and easy to manage the 2.5m length solo. Only gripe is no basic fixings included, which is a faff, and having to buy the clip-on profile separately feels like a necessary upsell for a full system start. One of the tracks had a tiny bit of wobble after securing —tolerances maybe a fraction loose, but nothing we couldn't sort. Driver was sound though. Does the job well.

Needed the 50mm width, and it fitted the boards snugly, which is the main point of this foundational run. Nice and sturdy aluminium, happy it won’t rust near the ground line. The Clip-on bead I bought with it attached fine. Lost a star as the website experience was confusing when trying to select the right depth. Proper palaver working out which item I needed. Also, courier bent one end a tiny bit—was able to knock it straight but irritating when it turns up dented. Good value when you compare it to some of the rbbish online, just had a faff ordering it.

Their sales chap mucked up the width, and the 'tech bloke' promise a call 9am Thurs to sort the exchnge. I'm STILL WAITING. proper straight starter track. The 0.6mm gauge is quality stock, didnt warp at all. Dead easy to fix at 300mm centres. Worth paying that bit extra over the flimsy options, knowing this is sorted below DPC. Brill.

Solid piece of kit for the EWI job. The aluminium feels really sturdy which you want right above the DPC line for corrosion resistance—gives better long-term confidence than plastic tracks definitely. The depth was a spot-on match for the insulation boards. It installs easily and is plenty straight.
Deducted a star for two things: It was slightly spendier than I'd have liked (you pay a premium for metal, I suppose). Also, sorting out the fixings myself took up more time than I'd planned for the schedule. Good quality though.

Top quality aluminium starter track the 0.6mm thickness feels robust and reliable—a proper job. Width matched the insulation board perfectly creating an excellent level base foundation above the DPC. Everything fixed securely at 300mm centres, and the separate Clip-on Profile integrated spot on. Delivered really fast and packaged well. Worth every penny!

Absolutely spot on kit, way better than cheaper tracks. Got the correct size straight off, was a spot on match for the insulation board width. It’s a proper solid piece of kit too, much better quality aluminium than the cheaper alternative I used last time. Installation was a doddle, fixed it quickly to the wall and it butts right up against the DPC. The boards are seated securely with no sagging, exactly what you want for the base. Sorted.

this track is a TOTAL LIABILITY. came badly warped WASTED half a day just trying to shimmy it straight. the '0.6mm' aluminium is just cheap foil. rusted within a week in light damp, what a JOKE corrosion resistance is. nowhere near 'quick & easy'. spend your graft elsewhere.

this stuff is just total rubbish mate. i followed the instruction for 300mm fix centres like it said on the product spec and the BLOODY track SNAPPED straight away. proper flimsy material maybe its not even 0.6mm its so weak. completely under-specced for supporting any decent load Wasted half a day ripping it off and having to rush down to the builders merchant for something that isnt dodgey. DONT trust this thin profile, pay the extra quid and get proper stuff if you dont want it buckling on site.

this 0.6mm track is TOTAL rubbish. dont know how they call this robust, it's glorified tinfoil. buckled right away under the first layer of basecoat, failed to hold the boards. wasted my time sourcing better gauge metal. shocking quality for a job that needs proper structural support.

solid kit this is. Got the right size track (match the insulation board!) and the fit was dead on. Proper aluminium feels totally robust for bearing the weight—it will last no doubt about it. Fixing up was quick and provided a great level base for the run. Bit of a faff lining up just over the DPC, but always tight work there.
Where they lose the star is the logistics. Yes, they tell you about the Clip-on Profile, but why do I have to buy it separately? Its an essential piece for reinforcement. Firms like Renders-World sell tracks with the mesh integrated already; selling key ancillaries separately is a needless faff that costs us time on site. Bundle that piece and it's instant five stars. Good track though. Recommend.

Brilliant bit of kit. Easy enough to get fixed off quickly at the centres. It's chunky aluminium (0.6mm thick) feels proper robust and matched my board width perfectly saving me loads of hassle on site. Always chuffed when long runs like this (2.5m) arrive dead straight and undamaged. Only drawback is having to mess around sourcing the clip-on mesh separately (which adds cost) but I knew that buying it. It feels a bit dearer per metre than buying in bulk elsewhere but for the quality, I'd still go for this. Does the job.

absolute rubbish. the 0.6mm gauge is barely sturdy enough to lay but the real kicker is the 'aluminium' surface. tried a standard primer on it ready for the basecoat and it tarnished instantly a horrile mottled grey meess. They market corrosion resistance but it cant even handle site chemistry. waste of a few days fixing it perfectly over the DPC, should have paid extra for galvanised steel profile instead. lroper dodgey wstuff.

cracking bit of kit. Priced this up against the usual places and EWI Store were loads cheaper for the exact same quality. The 0.6mm is absolutely sound, held the insulation without any flexing or messing about. Fixed it every 300mm quick and easy. Makes a massive difference to the finished look down the bottom edge. unbelievable. ordered this flimsy 0.6mm track for setting out and it arrived bent clean in half. it's basically foil. tried to straighten it and it just warped even worse. i cannot get a true line, so my whole EWI job is stopped. total waste of money and a major schedule disaster. don't buy this tat. rubbish.

Sorted! Proper sturdy starter track.This starter is proper thick 0.6mm alu, holds the insulation weight no problem. It fixed secure and laid dead straight—perfect levelling guide. Dead Straight and Proper Quality – Saved me a full day of head-scratching.I took the plunge on the EWI Starter Track and have to say it was the right call, especially after quickly pricing up the full system kit elsewhere. This stuff is clearly cut for the job. Look, any base track needs to be dead straight and exactly the right width for your board. I got the 75mm track and the size was spot on; the dimensions were precise enough for my laser level checks. It lined up laser straight to the DPC line and held the weight immediately. None of this cheap, flimsy scrap that bows the second you hit it with the screw gun. This aluminium feels robust.A big shout out for not fleecing us on the extra bits—it correctly came without the mesh, because any chippie knows you need the right clip setup for the basecoat job. Their note about needing the Clip-on Profile was helpful, saved me buying the wrong piece later on, sorted.Delivery was seriously quick, and the track wasn't dented, which usually never happens when ordering lengths like this. For the quality, the massive size range they offer (unlike some other stockists), and the ease of getting the first run installed so professionally—it was worth every penny over the cheapest-but-unavailable option I saw. absolute joke this 0.6mm track is rubbish an completely flimsy it bent like foil straight out the mangled package. They sent the wrong width and installation was brutal fixing centres ripped clean out the blockwork on a light tap test this gauge isn't meant for load bearing especially when rivals sell proper 1.0mm stock. My whole EWI job is stalled because of this naff strip of aluminium that tarnished instantly supposed to be corrosion resistant ha! This feels like price-gouging knowing we must buy the 'separate' clip-on profile too, an no one answers the CS line rings out constantly.

Honestly, proper rubbish. It's thin, came denrted, and felt like a biscuit tin lid. Bent straight away during install and the pre-drilled holes were misaligned re-took ages to line up. Couldn't easjily source that requierd clip-on profile either. Should have just paid more for a porper meshed system. Zero tracking until the van arrived too. Gutted.

Cracking starter track, exactly what was needed. Feels proper solid aluminium which is key, especially being at the bottom of the wall – you know it won't rot out. I used the 100mm width to match the insulation board and the fit was spot on, made installation simple. It went up a doddle, dead straight first time, which saves loads of time messing around getting your baseline right. Holds the insulation weight no bother and it's standing up sound against the recent rain/wind we've had. Definitely happy that i picked this one. Also appreciate that it doesn't come with pre-attached mesh. We went for the Clip-on profile as recommended on the page and that setup is sorted for the basecoat layer. Great experience all around; quick delivery, well-packaged, and pre-sales staff were spot on with the advice too. A really professional, reliable start to the whole system. Will be recommending this to other contractors.

used this on 100mm EWI. Spot on width and took the weight fine. The lorry bloke had it off quickly and the packing kept it straight. Good it doesnt come with mesh (stops lads grabbing the wrong thing). It worked, but edges were sharper than needed when fitting. Main issue: found the identical spec length much cheaper online afterwards. If I wasnt so far through the job, I'd send it back. Bit of a mark up here. Still did the job properly though.

utterly useless packaging. i know this 0.6mm track is your cheapest line but selling a metal 2.5m strip wrapped in tracing paper is ujst asking for it to be knackered. every sinyle length arrived dented and bowed cos the package had been abused. you can’t get an EWI starter track level if its shaped like a banana. its added hours trying to flatyten them on site. seriously poor show and cost cutting gpone mad on essential bits. not ordering the basic line again.

Brilliant bit of kit. Genuinely feels a superior quality compared to the cheaper alternatives, so well worth the extra cash. I needed a specific width and it was in stock straight away and packaged tidy, arriving earlier than expected—chuffed with that.
Installation was dead easy. It went on like butter and the track didn't warp or bend at all, giving the insulation board a solid foundation. That robust aluminium won't be rusting down by the DPC layer, which gives me proper confidence in the system's longevity. Top stuff.

Top quality aluminium. The ordered width was spot on perfect fit, dead easy to fix above the DPC. Solid, reliable foundation, no warping. Sorted.

easy install? Is an absolute joke. Track feels way too tinny, warped slighty after ten minutes sun and bends if you tap it. Meant setting out the base was a nightmare. And the website hides that the separate clip-on profile is mandatory. Extra part, double the faff. Rubbish quality.

rubbish. Took ages to DISPATCH this chsap starter track. Came BENT, flimsy, and WRONG width! Totally screwed my EWI schedule. Avoid this proper faff.

Decent kit price was sound. Felt sturdy as hell won't need to worry about rust sitting over the DPC. Lost a star 'cos the clip-on prlfile needs ordering separate. Simple job though.

This Alu track is sound. Fitted flush & width was bang on for the insulation. Quality feels right, especially compared to the rubbish plastic stuff. 2.5m length meant fewer joins. Just slightly too dear.

Rock solid foundation! Track came dead straight. Fit the EWI board width bang on, proper easy to drill the centres. Aluminium quality means it won't rust near DPC neither. Best price for this spec.

Does the job but lacks the mesh. Decent kit worked perfectly for my 50mm boards. Bit light and missed the mesh.
