PRO-536 Tanking Slurry Duo is a flexible, two-component waterproofing mortar designed to create a strong, watertight barrier across internal and external surfaces. Offering high resistance to water, including water under pressure, it provides dependable protection for bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, terraces, basements, foundations and swimming pools.
Its flexible polymer-cement formulation bridges scratches and cracks up to 0.75mm, helping the waterproofing layer accommodate minor movement within the background. Once cured, it also helps protect concrete and reinforcement against corrosion caused by sulphates, chlorides and free carbon dioxide.
With a choice of brush, roller or steel float application, PRO-536 offers a practical waterproofing solution for domestic, commercial and more demanding construction projects.
Why Choose PRO-536 Tanking Slurry Duo?
- Creates a flexible, durable and watertight protective coating.
- Resists water penetration, including water under pressure.
- Bridges scratches and cracks up to 0.75mm.
- Suitable for a wide range of internal and external applications.
- Ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, terraces and basements.
- Suitable for foundations, retaining walls, water basins and swimming pools.
- Compatible with screeds incorporating underfloor heating.
- Can be applied using a brush, roller or steel float.
- Ready to receive ceramic tiles after approximately three days.
- Provides tensile adhesion of at least 0.5MPa, including after exposure to water and freeze-thaw cycles.
- Resistant to temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C once cured.
Intended Uses
PRO-536 Tanking Slurry Duo is designed for waterproofing areas exposed to moisture, direct water contact or water pressure, including:
- Bathrooms and kitchens
- Terraces and balconies
- Basements and foundations
- Retaining walls
- Swimming pools and water basins
- Concrete elements in contact with groundwater
- Screeds incorporating underfloor heating
It can be applied to suitable concrete, cement-lime plaster, gypsum and screed substrates.
Substrate Preparation
Substrates must be stable, load-bearing, clean and free from dust, grease, loose material and contaminants that could affect adhesion.
Cracks wider than 0.75mm should be repaired with a suitable repair mortar before application. Concrete substrates must be at least three months old, while cement and cement-lime plasters and cement screeds must be at least four weeks old.
Highly absorbent or dusty backgrounds should be suitably primed. Particular attention should be given to corners, edges and wall-to-floor junctions, which should be reinforced using suitable sealing tapes and corner pieces or formed with a minimum 3cm radius.
Product Preparation
PRO-536 is supplied as a two-component system containing a liquid component and a powder component.
Pour the liquid component into a clean mixing container, then gradually add the powder while mixing with a slow-speed drill and paddle mixer. Continue mixing until a smooth, homogeneous and lump-free consistency is achieved.
Allow the material to stand for approximately 5 to 10 minutes, then remix before use. Do not add water or any other materials. Use the prepared product within approximately 60 minutes.
Application
Apply the prepared mortar using a brush, roller or steel float. The material should be applied in multiple coats according to the required level of waterproofing.
Apply the second coat once the first has gained sufficient strength, typically after approximately 4 to 5 hours. Each individual coat should not exceed 2mm in thickness.

The surface can normally be walked on after approximately 24 hours. Ceramic tiles may be installed after approximately three days using a suitable flexible tile adhesive.
Application Conditions
Apply when the air, substrate and product temperatures are between 5°C and 25°C.
Protect the coating from rain, frost, strong winds and direct sunlight throughout application and curing to help it set correctly and achieve the intended waterproofing performance.
