Lime Wash (EWI-707) – 10L
EWI-707 Lime Wash is primarily a protective layer for lime coatings and masonry substrates. On new lime renders and plasters, it unifies and protects the surface whilst the new plaster is building strength. As lime wash is essentially diluted lime putty, it maintains all breathable qualities, contributing to a fully breathable lime system.
EWI-707 Lime Wash is also a repairing material, being used to fill small shrinkage cracks on the lime coverings. Lime wash can also be used in conjunction with various aggregates to make shelter coats for friable masonry and will act as a sacrificial protective coat. Historically, lime wash was used as the primary decorative coat, however, it has been superseded by lime paint in that department.
Intended Uses
Specially designed for exterior restoration projects, Bio-construction, and all kinds of decorative work, generating healthy and highly comfortable environments. Compatible with classical and current construction methods and materials from the chemical, structural and mechanical points of view, adopting a harmonious behaviour with the rest of the materials.
Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be firm, dry and clean; free of poorly adhered parts, previous applications of grout, water repellents, release agents, mould release agents or waxes, rust, oils, grease, dust, efflorescence, microorganisms (mould or verdigris), traces of pollution, construction material or any element that prevents the excellent adherence of the product to the support. Avoid treating with a chemical medium; if a chemical medium has been used, rinse thoroughly with water and allow it to dry.
Product Preparation
The product comes ready to use. It is essential to stir the paint at low speeds before use until it is completely homogeneous.

Apply with a roller, brush or air-less gun. Apply wash by loading the surface in even coats. It is recommended to apply a minimum of two coats. The final appearance will vary depending on the tool used in the application and the absorption of the support.
