EWI-010 Acrylic Render
EWI Pro’s Acrylic Render will form a long-lasting, aesthetically-pleasing and protective barrier on your external walls. It is flexible and highly resistant to mechanical impact. This product is also great at holding vibrant colours and can be mixed into almost any shade (please call to enquire further about colour mixing for Acrylic Render).
Acrylic Render is a polymer-modified, thin-coat render, used as a decorative finish to an EWI system. This product is available in grain size: 1.5mm.
EWI-010 Acrylic Render is suitable for interior and exterior surfaces. However, we do not recommend using this product in thermal wall insulation systems that use hard mineral wool panels or on wet walls with a high level of technological moisture. For example, those made from fresh cellular concrete. With this in mind, we recommend using EWI-040 Silicone Silicate render in conjunction with our mineral wool insulation systems.
Application
You can easily apply EWI-010 Acrylic Render by hand or you can spray it onto a substrate. When applying Acrylic Render, use a notched trowel to apply the render to a thickness which corresponds with the grain size. When applying this product, ensure that you have enough workers on-site to be able to apply it to whole sections of the wall (rather than half sections). This prevents scarring where the sections meet. To create an even, textured finish we recommend that you rub up against the surface of the render in circular motions using a plastic float.
Application Conditions
- Substrate primers: EWI-301 Water Based Primer,
- Basecoat primers: EWI-330 Mineral & Acrylic Primer
- Application temperature (air, substrate, materials): from +5°C to +25°C
- Colour range: available in thousands of colours
- Caution! When applying render to elevations with a large area, you should use colours with a brightness coefficient (diffuse reflection) of at least 20%. These coefficients are shown in the colour palette of EWI Pro plasters and paints.
Acrylic Render Coverage Rates
- 1.5mm – 2.4kg/m². One bucket should cover 9–10m²

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can Acrylic Render be used in conjunction with Mineral wool Slabs?
We do not recommend using Acrylic Render in conjunction with Rockwool Mineral Wool Slabs because Mineral Wool is exceptionally breathable. In contrast, Acrylic Render is not as breathable as other renders, such as Silicone Render.
- What is the difference between Acrylic and Mosaic?
Acrylic Render is a polymer-modified thin coat render that uses acrylic plastic, making it more robust and flexible than traditional renders. Mosaic Render is very similar to Acrylic Render but contains quartz aggregate to give it a mosaic effect.
- How durable is Acrylic Render?
Acrylic Render is extremely durable as it is flexible, meaning it can be used on a range of surfaces that other traditional renders may not be able to stick to. It also has high mechanical impact resistance, so you won’t have to worry about displeasing damage and hairline cracks.
- Is Acrylic Render breathable?
Due to the robust and tight seal when applied, Acrylic Render is less breathable than other renders, such as Silicone Render, as it keeps more moisture in.
- Can Acrylic Render be applied using a spray machine?
Acrylic Render can be applied using a spray machine.

Tried this becuase of the excellent price. The acrylic render actually is excellent, very pleasently surprised. Delivery next day too! Not to be sniffed at!
Pijatrek –
The material arrived on time and had no problems with application but can you make sure you check every small detail as one of the buckets you supplied had a broken handle.
Scant Petey –
Now all jobs seem to be done on m2 basis, this is the answer. A cheap, easily to apply render that will work with most solid wall insulaton systems.

Have to say I'm not a fan of the rendered finish. The house we bought had pebbledash and the only option was to strip it off and repoint. But the state of walls was so bad that i had to add 50mm of polystyrene with the acrylic render on top. We used an installer called Work Work who were trained on these systems and could offer us a 10yr warranty. My wife is very happy and that's the most importAnt thing I guess :)!!!

Of course not as good as your silicone renders but decent value and rubs up great

Always find the acrylic very easy to use and the finish is especially vibrant.
