EPS Basecoat Adhesive (EWI-220) - 25kg
SKU: EWI-220
Reviews & Ratings
Mint! Cured rock solid, just what you want for the basecoat. Dead hard finish ready to render over. No issues, top quality.
Dead easy mix, waterproof. Bonded the EPS rock solid, works good. Highly recommended.
Brill adh stuck fast to the EPS boards on the concrete. Two jobs in one bag is mint saves a faff on site proper good kit. It did clump up when mixing sometimes and I had to chuck in more than 5.8L water for a smooth spread. Coverage felt short too maybe only hitting 3m2 a bag. Delivery driver was careful. Good value for money but premium stuff yields better. Four stars for saving site hassle.
Been using this for a few years now every time I have an EWI job that is eps and it never disappoints. It's nice to work with and I like how it can be used as an adhesive and as a reinforcement layer. If you have an eps job coming up I recommend you try this.
Great stuff mix was perfect. Holds the EPS like mad. Saved so much time Sorted!
Brill. Does both the adhesive and the basecoat. Sorted my rendering issues, proper job done.
Brill product. One bag, two jobs. No messin'.
Mixed up a dream. Spreads like butter and the bond is rock solid.
Right then, running this 220 was mint. The dual-purpose bag for the boards and the basecoat? Absolutely brilliant, that. Shaved loads of faffing about moving separate tubs and cut down on waste, which is handy.
Mix consistency was spot on, didn't lump up, and the usability window was bang on. We were sticking EPS onto some rough old concrete and it grabbed solid instantly. We used the perimeter-dab method—rock solid every time.
It takes the mesh no bother when basecoating; came out perfect and felt strong and flexible when set. Coverage rates were decent. Way simpler and better value than messing around with those two-bag systems (like Weber). Great trade kit, dead easy to work with.
one bag for both steps is dead on. Geat key.
Dual purpose saves huge time and hasxsle. Mixes proper quick, clean job, and the boards stick solid. 5 stars.
Brill adh. Strong bond and one bag does basecoat and fix. Saves messing.
brill dual-purpose adhesive for the EPS. But 5.8L water made the mix too runny for me. Does the job!
Proper gear, switched entirely to EWI-220. Dual-purpose saves time on every EPS job. Mixes smooth and gives a rock solid waterproof bond. 5/5.
Top quality easy to mix bond means only one bag on site
Mix was a joe. Followed 5.8L, just slid right off the wall.
Rock solid grip on concrete, the basecoat worked perfect too. Means less mess and zero wastage compared to using two products.
Cracking stuff. One bag job, quick and solid.
EPS adh proper. Rate shy.
proper reliable kit. Easy mix, held the boards rock solid. My go-to now
the dual-purpose saves proper faff on site.
One bag does fixing and basecoat. Boards stuck solid to block wall. Saved me a load of time. Brill!
Best two-in-one product for EPS. The sheer logistical saving of only having one type of bag on site for both sticking the board and the basecoat reinforcement is a total no-brainer. The mix is the key; it hits that good workabl consistency quickly and you
sn't fighting the paddle mixer for 10 minutes. Grab was exceptional on some iffy painted surfaces. Honestly impressed with the pull, much stronger than some alternatives. Went on easy with the trowel, cured fine, coverage was exactly as stated on the bag. Coudn't fault it for the price. Use this stuff, save your forearms some pain.
driver dumped it in the rain then the adhesive clumped instantly total fail the boards didnt bond ruined two days work im swapping to weber.
Decent gear, bond is great, cant knock that. One bag saves faff on site. Felt really snappy when it warmed up though. Water mix needs less volume for the perimeter dabs, had to leave it kicking longer than 10 mins. Coverage was slightly short of the 3.5m extsuperscript{2}.
Great kit dead easy mix. Dual use saves ordering bags and bond is sound. Proper solid.
brill! Works dead sloid for EPS and basecoat. Less water for better mix.
Cracking stuff. The dual-use feature saved loads of site faff honestly. Mixed perfect with the 5.8L ratio, proper strong bond and workability was bang on.
Sound stuff. One bag for fixing EPS and doing the basecoat —saves loads of hassle. Pot life works well, better than my previous brand.
ok mix but dries too quick
EWI 220 solid adh works brilliantly. Pot life is definitely on the tighter side; need to move fast when bedding boards. Still delivers a rock-solid base.
Bang on for EPS!
Used this EWI-220 for a full system onto light-aggregate block. The biggest win is definitely the dual-purpose—only having one type of bag on site cuts the wastage and faff massively. This product genuinely gives you peace of mind because you know the adhesive is also forming that strong, waterproof basecoat. Top value against what the big competitors charge for separate kits.
Mixes sound if you remember the 10 min rest. Grab was excellent for dabbing the EPS boards onto the concrete, absolutely did not sag vertical. Getting the mesh bedded into the 6mm layer was no bother, spread evenly and quick.
The coverage rates were decent and the working time (pot life) was perfect for us. Brill kit, and the delivery driver was actually helpful with the heavy 25kg bags too. Will stick with this 220 going forward.
Dual purpose adhesive sorted the job quick. No need for two types of bag which is a lifesaver. Coverage excellent, quality gear.
brill! The website KEPT crashing AND it fell off the wall.
Top quality! Mixes bang on.
Brill! Dual-purpose saves so much grief. Mixes smooth and the super bond sticks to the EPS perfectly.
Dual-purpose EPS adh worked well, boards stuck solid. Mixed up nicely but wish the working time was a bit longer when doing the mesh layer.
The 2-hour pot live is an absolute liberty! Started setting hard in 40 mins and was too grainy. We had to bin laods of muck and scrape the hawk contantly. Slowed the crew down big time. Joke.
Spot on. Dual-purpose is boss —saved time and bags on site. Sticks EPS firm, trowels out flat 6mm basecoat. Brilliant bond. New go-to kit.
Basecoat/adhesive works good. Spreads mint, proper flexible too.
EWI-220 is proper gear. Brill dual-purpose kit
—one bag for EPS adh and basecoat is spot on, cuts out site fuss. Holds tight, feels solid. Took a bit of graft mixing it first, mind.
Cracking two-in-one adhesive.
Top-quality dual-use. Makes EPS jobs simpler.
waited all day for the bags to turn up wiht the lads ready to go and guess what? They never came. Not a tesxt not a call not a PEEP about the delay. ZERO professionalism, cost me half a days rwates just waiting for your amaturs to tell me something. Qbsolutely rubbish service.
needed one product for fix and coat, this was bang on. Simplifies site logistics massively. Great consistency, spread proper smooth, dead chuffed.
Decent EPS adh bond is sound.
Two-in-one, sorted. Good grab, fast job.
Proper bond, secured boards well. Yield is short and 2hr set time is cheeky, mind.
listen up lads. this order was a total SHAMBLES. tracking ibnfo was useless—a right pig to follow and the order hadn't shipped after a WEEK. wasted site time thank to ewi!!! then the driver delivers it to the *wrong address* and the bag was already split leaking poder everywhere. and the adhesive itself? 5.8L ratio is garbage too runny and cured way too quick, severe cracking too. mext time i'll pay the extra for tytan. rubbish product, zero customer service.
One bag solution saves big time on sihte, dead useful. Proper good stick, smooth application even on concrete blockwork. Reliable. Brill!
this is rubbish. me lungs were burnin rfom the dust! dried too quick and then it cracked off the eps board. poor bond and useless seervice after me call for help. terrible!
Great dual-purpose adh; it's what saved the day for fixing and basecoat. Good consistency after the remix. Lumpy on first mix though. Sorted!
Dual Purpose Boss Kit. Went on a dream! Rock solid set & great coverage. Dual-purpose is a time saver.
One bag is dead easy! Top notch grip, way better than cement.
Solid gear. Cuts clutter and stocks perfectly.
Dual use for adhesive/basecoat. Sorted!
brill dual-purpose gear. Spot on! Amazing!
Proper strong grip, dual-purpose. Lads said it was a doddle to apply.
cStiff as anything when dried. Not the promised flex risk cracking.
Sticks dead on, even in sun. Dual use kit saved time.
Amazing value on this, sets dead solid.
Brill. Dual-purpose saved loads of hassle. Used for fixing the EPS & the meshing. Top quality.
Mint consistency and the dual purpose saved my bacon on site. Works good.
Sound adhesive. Gets the mesh embedded proper quick. One bag for fix & basecoat is gold.
EWI-220 is sorted. Proper two-in-one bag saved us money and time. Sticks like the proverbials to concrete.
My go-to EPS adhesive always spot on.
Mixed bang on. Dual-use sticky stuff & basecoat, sorted the job quick.
eWI-220 is a lifesaver. One bag does both. Mixes easy, proper solid finish.
Go-to EWI kit. Dual-purpose adhesive and basecoat in one bag is massive mixes bang on and sticks boards rock solid. Saves a shift on site, brill stuff.
Solid adh works well with EPS. Coverage low.
Proper job. Boards stuck tight, skims brilliantly over the mesh. The only two-in-one EPS kit needed.
This stuff is brilliant, top quality basecoat adhesive. Used it for fixing the EPS boards then for the mesh layer too—saved a load of time only stocking one product. Mixed right up, zero clumping. Proper strong bond on the concrete. Best I've used this year, puts the cheaper brands to shame.
Top adhesive mate. One bag fixes and bases. Proper sound.
Spot on dual-use gear. Saved huge tim on site only using one bag. Switching to EWI now.
Mix was spot on and great trowelability, but sets too fast on hot days.
Brill stuff! Saves hassel using only one bag for bonding and basecoat.
Brill stuff. Dual purpose is a lifesaver, only one bag on site. Hold is cracking on vertical boards, and the mixing was spot on.
Good. Dual use EPS adh means less bags on the deck.
right, this EWI-220 is spot on kit. Mixed well, real smooth mortar. Dual purpose saved us wasting product and site time. It gave us plenty of working time (two hours!) which meant no rush to lay the basecoat. Bond is rock solid to the EPS board and the awkward concrete walls we were fixing to. Can't fault it. Proper good.
absolute BOG off this stuff. cleaning the mixer took FOREVER that cheap bag is just costing me wasted labour time wrestling sludge. terrible formulation pure rubbish!!!
One bag two jobs. Proper solid bond it's spot on!\r\n\r\nBrilliant pot life easy to mix and keeps its consistency (didn't go off in the bucket). We fixed the EPS boards tight and it didn't sag when we troweled the basecoat on. Mesh goes in spot on. The only thing which could be better is that you still need the 225 if there's any rockwool on site, but for the quality and 2-hour window on this stuff, 5 stars for value and performance. Great stuff!
Cracking dual-purpoes stuff, no faff.
Bang on. EWI-220 mixes clean for basecoat and adhesilon. Dual purpose keeps my stock tidy and it sticks to the old wall like concrete. Top stuff.
amazing! Dual purpose saves me bags of hassle. Works good and sets proper solid.
Dead easy to mix, absolutely zero lumps. Only needing the one product for stickin' the boards and for the mesh scrim saved me so much hassle and running around. No messing about. Strong stuff.
Two-in-one function is brill. Easy to mix.
Dual-purpose EPS 220 saves so much hassle and wastage on site, massive bonus. Mix was easy had an even consistency, better than other brands I've tried. Open time was spot on for laying the 10mm basecoat with the mesh. Used the dabbing method across some dodgy painted walls and it just grabbed. Great value for the money, quick dispatch sorted the job out fast. Rock solid bond very pleased with the quality.
Dual-use adhesive saves massive time. Stuck solid to the concrete wall, proper job. Sound!
This adhesive is sound. Two hours usability and it's basecoat & adhesive in one bag! Saves time sticks like the clappers. Top job.
Top dual-purpose stuff, stuck the EPS perfect. Proper flexible basecoat, no ramas mixing.
Adh sticks sound decent price. Mix consistency a faff tho, needs perfect water ratio. Too sticky/strenuous to spread across whole board.
Top quality. Used it for both jobs, saves mess. Great pot life, proper tough bond. Sorted.
top gear this. Dual-purpose adhesive saves us cash, and it mixes dead easy into a proper buttery consistency. Bonded perfect. Never a problem.
Dual-purpose? Mint! oRck solid fix and an easy spread - proper time saver!
Top EPS product! Dual purpose is a winner—saved us massive time and site waste. Stuck fast, no sag on the concrete job. Sorted.
Cracking stuff for EWI. Mixes up proper, lovely consistency for dabbing EPS boards and it really bites onto blockwork. Compared to some of the others that are near double the price this EWI-220 is unbeatable value and performs just as well.
It handles brilliantly when troweling on the basecoat layer too and lets you embed the mesh quickly. Saved a massive amount of fqaff only needing the one dual-purpose bag for the job—less site clutter, less lifting. Sets quick enough but gives you tjhat working window for final alignment. Will be using it again every time, best basecoat I've tried. Cheers to the lad who loaded the van too, very efficient.
Dual-purpose saved bags on site, job went well. Solid adh once ready, but took longer with the mixer. Needed a serious paddle to shift dry patches.
Sticks strong. Used loads; coverage needs to be better, though.
Decent 2-in-1 glue/basecoat sets firm and EPS is sorted. Found the basecoat workability slightly low grabbed quick and coverage was shy. Price point felt bit steep but thanks to the driver for lugging the bag up!
brill. Stcks fast. Only one bag now.
Brill gear. Strong adh/dual-purpose means less bags on site —sorted! Mixing needs fiddling; recommended 5.8L made it too loose initially. Price point commands easier troweling, esp on hot days when the 2hr life is too tight.
Proper spot on stuff for EPS. Mixed up quick dead easy consistency. Used the perimeter/dab method to fix the boards and it flew up; held its stand perfect didn't sag which means zero waste—so the coverage was genuinely economical. The dual-purpose aspect saves having a load of extra muck on site compared to others great value. We put the basecoat mesh straight into it, sets solid. This EWI-220 is top quality, sorted the whole job.
Smooth mix, grabs fast! Dual purpose saved time.
absolute rubbish. set rock hadr in 5 mins not 2 hours wouldn't bond to the concrete. AMAZING!
Absolute quality kit. Dual pirpose is spot on, zero slip on the EPS. Brill.
Brill kit mixes spot-on with the 5.8 litres smooth under the float not grabby like Ceresit ZU. Keeps logistics simple.
Good grab and dual purpose. Saved site faff! Brill.
Two bags to one. Proper job.
Go-to choice for EPS. Mix is spot-on- a proper 2-in-1. Boards stuck down a treat and keyed out nice. Top gear.
One bag for sticking and coating. Massive time save.
rubbish. awful. this 25kg bag was totally ripped open and left a huge right mess all over my van. spent an hour sweeping dust instead of starting work. terrible logistics, i'll stick to 20kg bags from merchants next time.
Proper basecoat adhesive this. Cracking stuff for the EWI. Bolted the EPS boards straight onto the concrete. Having the one dual-purpose bag for the adhesive and basecoat mesh is spot on
massively cut down on site waste and faff. Mixes a dream with the paddle, great consistency for trowelling. Solid adhesion. My new go-to for EPS. Sorted.
Brill product. The EPS fixing and dual basecoat function is spot on saved hassle. Only 4 stars as I missed the 'Not render-only' restriction, forcing two bags on site.
Brill stuff. Dual purpose meant less site clutter, mixed perfectly and went on really smooth. Proper time saver.
Brill! Dual-purpose gear saved loads of time and mess. Sorted.
Brilliant EWI basecoat. Dual purpose means less mess/wastage and easy mixing. Sticks solid fast. Sorted the EPS boards immediately. Top quality.
Ace gear this is, saves so much time having only one bag for both sticking the boards and embedding the mesh. Mixes beautifully and grips tight.
220 Dual use sors stock. Coverage tight.
Brill. Fual purpose EPS gear. Worked spot-on!
dO NOT BUY from here unless you enjoy chasing invoices. i was charged an incorrect amount at checkout and getting the refund back is taking absolute ages. its a total time sink which for a tradesman is cash lost. as for the EWI-220 basecoat itself it’s advertised as 2 hours usability at +20c but i found the time of usability closer to 30 mins seizing up fast. utterly unreliable product and frankly criminal customer service when it comes to sorting accounts. bodge job all around. stay away.
dead easy mix - saved us bags of time with 2-in-1 bag!
Brill stuff. One bag sorted the fixing and the scratch coat. Proper.
5.8L per bag? Rubbish, you get sloppy sludge. Needed almost a litre more water just to make it sticky for dabbing foam, wrecking the consistency. Time lost and the yield is way down.
Strong stuff. But 2-bag system is a proper pain for patching.
iRght then, solid on the EPS but not truly dual-purpose. Had to stop and order the EWI-225 for render sections. Bit faffy.
Brill 2-in-1 gear. Used this 220 for fixing the EPS onto untreated concrete, stuck fast immediately. The dual-purpose element saved me having to order/mix a separate basecoat mix, which is a massive win on site efficiency—no wasting time or lugging extra 25kg bags around. Mixed up smooth and it didn't flash off too quick; easy to get the mesh properly embedded without rushing the trowelling. Also good call out on the description about switching to 225 if you're on Mineral Wool; appreciated that bit of info. Highly recommended for EPS. Proper job.
Adhesive holds like mad. Saved days!
EWI-220 is spot on. High quality, two jobs one bag, done!
a proper dual job thsi! Chuffed.
Tidy stuff. One bag, job done, spot on.
One bag sorted. Dual purpose saves stock checks & money. Troweled up a treat with a proper strong bond. Delivery was bang on time. Sound!
Mint basecoat. One bag on site is massive. Mix was crreamy great to trowel and held the EPS tight. Fantastic value.
butters right on, brill grab for the dab method. Sets rock solid. Dual-use, no site faff. Top quality for the price.
solid Adh.
Very Good Product, no doubt. The dual-purpose function is spot on; saves lugging different bags onto the scaffolding. Adhered fine to the concrete (using EWI-301 primer) and even managed a decent bond to the treated timber which isn't listed as suitable. Once set, the finish is super strong and durable.
Only knocking a star because it's slightly pricey, and I had a nightmare with the cold-weather workflow. We were applying at +5
C and it was noticeably sluggish getting that initial grab—feels like paying a premium but getting slower performance when you need it most. Also, needed more water than the 5.8L stated, and mixing was hard work. That 10-min wait between mixes slows things down.
Good material. The working time was decent and I'll still buy again because it does its job perfectly.
saved carrying two materials! Mix ratio was perfect for the basecoat and boards. Proper easy.
cracking dual-use adhesive for EPS. Good price but mix sets too fast, needed longer.
one bag does both jobs. Sorted. Cheers.
Only need one bag on site which saves time. Mixes a treat. Sticks immediately holding the boards firmly on older masonry. Top quality!
This works sound. Keeps stock simple cause it does both. Couldn't fault it.
Used for stick and mesh. Proper solid stuff. Great.
Dual adh is a lifesaver; bond is bang on for the EPS. Basecoat was decent. But the coverage was greedy; nearly 5kg/m². Also the dust when mixing is murder mate.
Brill dual-purpose gear, easy mix and really lovked the EPS boards down solid. Spot on.
Brill! Dual-purpose sorted the job out PROPER. Excellent value for money and provides a rock solid bond.
Cracking 2-in-1 gear. Mixed up a treat, easy to trowel on. Boards stuck fast, rock solid. Saves time and money, winner!
Solid gear. Dual-purpose EPS/Basecoat is great for efficiency keeps the site tidy. Holds the EPS boards firmly on concrete even stuck okay to the old painted render which was a relief. Trusted qualoty.
BUT cleanup of the paddel mix was a right faff, very sticky material. Finish texture is also rougher than my previous adh brand. Needed almost a full second 5.8L bucket of water to get the correct troweling consistency too. I wish they did a 10kg bag option for fiddly small extensions.
top notch gear. Mixes smooth (no lumps!). The two-hour work time saved loads of bother on site. Sticks fast, works good for the mesh too. Simple.
Did the whole EWI job. The glue and basecoat mix was spot on, no sag at all. Miles better than the rubbish from eBay last time.
Dual purpose gear is excellent. Saved loads of site time using it for both fixing the boards and basecoating. Glood stuff.
Dead solid. Worked perfectly for both fixing and basecoat. Brill not having two types of muck on site, saved me loads of time.
Top stuff. Used for EPS fix and basecoat, saved us a load of time not mixing two types. Troweled mint.
Mixed like a dream, perfect consistency. Dual purpose function is a lifesaver, only having one type of bag on site saved serious time and logistics bother. Stuck the foam solid and feathered out well over the mesh. Will buy again.
Great stuff, will use again.
Brill bit of kit. Sorted. Brill. Saves having two separate bags on site, which is massive. Mixed up perfectly with the stated water ratio (cheers for the quick advice, tech support!) and kept good workability. Held the EPS boards firm on the concrete, no slip. Easy to get a 6mm basecoat finish with the mesh. Will be using this adhesive every time now. Top stuff.
Brill bond on EPS. Dual use sorted the job. Top.
Dead easy to mix, perfect consistency for the boards and basecoat. Saves us dragging two bags up stairs! Proper strong finish.
DUAL PURPOSE MY ARSE. Had to check the tiny print re substrates—why list it if you need the EWI 225 for mineral wool boards? Wasted an hour standing around confirming what boards this takes. Get a clearer spec sheet FFS. PIG.
Proper dual-use adh spot on for EPS board fixing. Sets fast when it's warm, so work quick. Will buy again.
Cracking EPS basecoat. Works good.
Dead handy. Mixed spot on & held fast.
Two jobs, one bag of kit. Rock solid bond! Sorted.
Sorted! One bag does both. xcellent bonding strength, mixes perfect. Never buying a rival product again.
Goes on like butter! Mixed dead eay and dual purpose is spot on for all our EWI work.
One bag does everything for EPS. Sticks fast to concrete. Proper job.
Adh stuck the EPS boards perfectly. Needed longer mixing to clear clumps and the working time was tight when temperatures rose. Dependable stuff though.
Saved time having just one bag. Tops!
My new favourite adhesive.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 Stars)
**Saved loads of time. Sticks like the clappers and a good key for the render. Sorted.**
Got this batch quickly. Driver parked the pallet right where I needed it which helps massively.
This EWI-220 is bang on for pure EPS runs. The biggest pro is the **dual-purpose job**. Means you’re only lugging one kind of bag around the site for fixing the boards (perimeter and dabs job done) and then putting the scrim on top. Saved half a day of clearing up different specs. Preparation was the same mix ratio (5.8L worked spot on) which cuts confusion.
The adhesive gripped the concrete and the old ceramic bits on the gable wall straight off. No slump or issue working in the heat. It trowels out lovely for the basecoat—got the mesh embedded and hit that 6mm layer proper tidy. Makes a really solid waterproof skin once cured.
The final basecoat takes the subsequent render coats like a dream.
At this price point (£13.47 ex VAT) when you look at how much other brands charge just for the second-stage adhesive this EWI-220 is easily the best value for an EPS system. Brill! Will definitely order this again.
Go-to stuff for EPS. Saves faff with one bag for sticking and mesh layer. Flawless finish! Great stuff!
EWI-220 is decent for boards and basecoat. Solid fix, saves us carrying two bags. BUT the mix got proper stiff before the 2hr mark
—big waste risk.
Brill kit. Trowleled lovely on concrete and the finish is proper flexible.
Proper dual-purpose. Saves time & money not carrying two bags. Mixed spot on & sound adhesion!
Toal Rubbish. Tried to save cash but this EWI-220 has cost me cdays. Half the bag was solid cos the delivery arrived wet, the driver was miserable, and I had to re-order the stuff anyway. Then, when I fially used it, the claimed coverage rate was useless—burned through the tubs too quick! And the biggest shocker? Minor weekend drizzle had patches lifting and flaking. The claim tnhis is "waterproof" is propetr garbage. Remedial work now starts Monda. Never again.
Sticks the EPS up great. 2-in-1 saved faff on site. Mix needed more than 5.8L water to worm properly though and the open time flashed off quicker than 2 hours in the sun. Solid grip but wish it was a tad more flexible. Good kit.
adh stuck the EPS spot on. Good quality for the price. Had to add extra water tho, mixing instructions felt off.
Perfect for board & basecoat.
Brilliant, saved lugging two types of bag around. Sticks solid and troweled really nice when doing the mesh.
Mixes easy and holds solid.
Brill. Proper sticky and mixes perfectly. Using just one bag for adhesive and mesh basecoat saved a right hassle.
Dual-purpose saved me bag space. Happy days.
Proper solid stuff. Had the rig sorted quick. Honestly, I’ll be stocking this over others where I can. Having one 25kg bag that does the fixing and the basecoat for the poly boards is a massive win on site kit and time, definitely simplifying my material management. Mixed up exactly as it said—dump the water, leave it ten minutes, give it a whack with the paddle, and it was spot on for the trowel, perfect consistency. Ued it across old concrete and tricky painted substrates and the hold was faultless. No sagging, just stood up no problem. Scrim embedded cleanly and the 6mm layegr felt proper secure. Had the job sorted hours earlier than scheduled. Value for this performance and versatility is spot on. Great bit of kit.
220 is good value for money. Cracking EPS Adh & BC layer, having one bag is ideal for site speed. Snag: Dust when mixing & it got clumpy during tremix/had a short working pot life.
Sorted an exterior re-clad last week and used the EWI-220 across the board. Dead impressed, mate. Honestly, having one bag for sticking the foam and bedding the mesh in has been a massive time-saver—no more double-ordering or sweating over having too much of one product left over. It felt rock solid bonding the EPS straight away; no wrestling with the boards falling off. The mix was spot on straight away, dead easy to paddle up without turning it into sloppy seconds or having loads of lmups to pick out. It spread beautifully smkoth onto the board, and the usability time was spot on for my pace—not too fast where you’re scrapping loads, but it set hard fast enough once it was on. Saved a small fortune on wastage too, which is always welcome. Will definitely recommend this stuff, it just works without all the faff you get with some of those other two-part render systems. Brill stuff.
Buy once, fix twice. Saves bags on site. Brill!
Only needing one bag for fix/basecoat saved massive time. No sag on the boards. Proper kit.
Cracking stuff, stuck the EPS dead solid.
Works good. Long pot life.
Proper smooth texture, perfect grab.
Dual use saves the faff! Boards stuck good and it makes a great, robust coat.
Cracking dual-purpose gear. Sticks strong, does the skim job fine.
This dual-use adhesive is spot on. Strong hold for the boards, great key for render. Saves space and cash, superb job!
Good adh but the set time cost me hours on site. Slowed the schedule down, ninit. Would use quicker stuff next time.
Proper good kit. Dual-purpose is sound for cutting down on stock. Adh stuck like mad to the concrete. Only knock is the mix was slightly too thick for feathering out the basecoat; had to keep nursing it with extra water. Overall decent performance.
Brill two-in-one product. Final bond strong. Needs slightly more water.
Ample work time! Mixed like butter, stuck a treat.
Bang On! Mixed consistency spot on right away. Keys tight on concrete/plaster. Proper solid basecoat, reduced wastage.
spot on for the EPS job. Mixed great, dual purpose saved a pile of time.
Sound gesr. Only needing the one bag for EPS adh and basecoat is spot on for site stock reduction. Mixed up nicely but needed extra water on a dry day. Good key on concrete too.
Solid adhesion for EPS. BC thickness guide needed more detail.
Proper job. Made the whole basecoat a doddle, saving on site bags. Sticks hard, set time was generous. No cracking, either.
Top draw kit! Saves time stocking two bags.
Top gear, zero fuss. Dual-purpose saves time and money. Strong bond spot on.
Brill gear! Used it for boards and skim. Saves having a separate adhesive. Proper solid finish.
Proper good grab, saved us runnng two bags. Brill stuff!
eWI 220 is top kit. Grabbed the EPS boards proper solid, then went on spot on for the basecoat. Only one bag- total time saver!
Sound gear! Only needing the one bag for fixing the boards and the basecoat layer is the major benefit—cuts the faff on site. Mix went perfectly and the mesh held dead solid spot on thickness too. Proper job I'll only use this for EPS now.
Brill stuff. Dual purpose meant only one bag for bonding EPS & the mesh layer. Saved time and wastage on site. Solid, proper strong bond on the concrete sub.
5.8L of water felt too loose. Had to wait 15 mins for it to stiffen up properly minor faff. Strong adhesive bond overall though.
One bag dioes the lot. Sticks solid, mix is spot on!
Brilliant dual-purpose gear. Mixed up right, got great grab on the boards and spreads lovely for the mesh coat. Keeps the site inventory dead simple. Top quality.
solid on EPS boards. Coverage tigt embedding the mesh.
Proper stuff this. Using one bag for fixing boards and the 6mm mesh layer is just brill saved running two types of product on site which means less faff. Mixes bang on at 5.8L ratio no problems getting the trowel pull right. Will keep ordering this one.
Proper good kit, goes further than Sika.
Went on like butter. Dual purpose saves wasted time and bag changes. Proper sound stuff.
Proper stuff for EPS. Having one bag for both fixing and basecoat saves time consistency stays true for the full 2hrs. No sag brilliant value.
This stuff grips concrete spot on, and dual use saves a hassle. Adh consistency was good. Coverage was a pain, needed extra bags. Bit pricey too.
Dual-purpose saved me time. Nice smooth working. Spot on mate.
Saves massive time being dual purpose. Good grab easy spread.
Solid dual-purpose EPS mix.
Proper gear. One bag did adhesive and basecoat so that's two less orders to faff with. Stuck fast.
nowhere on the bloody EWI-220 bag does it stte if we need 301 or 310 primer for the wall. absolute joke. spent two hours trying to figure it out, llost the rhythm of the job waiting for answers. proper unnecessary dowtime. awful.
mostly excellent. Workhorse adh. Cover rate tight & hard to flatten.
Proper good bit of kit. Dual-purpose is brilliant saved shifting two bags of muck around the site. Held the EPS strong and spreads spot on. Sorted.
amazing! lol worst bag ever arrived ripped owder eevrywhere. this stuff wouldn't stick to silicate elements at all peeled off next day. mix set immediately useless for the 6mm mesh embeding kept cracking. where is the basecoat only instructions anyway? cost me double the peoduct total tlime waste aviod.
pot on mate. Proper stuff.
Used for boards and mesh. Sticks fast. Brill basecoat. No messing.
proper muck. this GREY stuff bled through and ruined the pure white boards
Dual-purpose saves me two trips to the merchant. Holds the boards spot on, doesn't sag. Proper job.
POT LIFE IS A TOTAL LIE IT DRIED TOO FAST specs MISLEADING insulation failed and CRACKED BAD BATCH
Right gear this. Dual purpose is a lifesaver. Stuck it on thick for the EPS dabs, held dead straight no slump whatsoever.
absolute rubbish. the 25kg bags rarived soaking wet and the basecoat opwder was solid compacted junk inside. couldn't use half of it. pgoper site nightmare. wasted the whole morning.
No messing about. One bag and done.
Spot on. Dual-purpose is a life saver, held the EPS obards dead solid.
Dual-use adhesive, works perfect. Strong hold n easy to mix! Top job.
Only one bag needed for the base coat and stickin boards on. Price is unreal compared to the big brands like Weber or Parex. Great grab, worked good on concrete. Top quality buy!
Top adhesive. One bag does both jobs, no site mess. Works good.
jOKE SERVICE: tried asking that sales lad about the substrate mate proper clueless! he dismissed me straight up.
wORST STUFF ECVER MATE. Caked powder mixed to an unusable PUDDING despite exact water ratio. Avoid this bobbins unless you like CLUMPS!
sound. Saves hauling two different bags.
Needed this for a run of EWI. Prep was dead easy straightforward steps for fixing the EPS then the mesh skim coat. Consistency was bang on, didn't sag, and grabbed hard. Proper time saver not needing two different bags on site. Recommended by me.
consistency is spot on! One bag saves major site headache.
Brilliant gear! Only needed the one bag for glue and basecoat. Saved time and effort. Sturdy stuff, stuck firm to the block.
This stuff spread like butter proper rock hard
ran short on coverage, narely hit 3m² on the EPS. Adhesion was soft and it threw up far too much dusrt when mixing. Plus, I found a wrong label inside. Too pricey for this performance level.
Brill! Dual purpose saves me huge hassle not having separate bags. Boards stuck tight and basecoat holds solid. Go-to now.
Solid Adh/Basecoat. Way too dusty on mix.
Sound dual-purpose EPS adh/basecoat. Savez us hauling multiple bags, spot on. But that specific water ratio for the mix slows prep down; bit of a faff.
Adh is brill, sticks the boards tight. The 25kg bags are a right pain to handle though, esp when the delivery chap parks it in the next street!
Brill dual purpose ADH/BC. Good graft.
dual purpose sorted the whole wall-sticks the EPS proper. Still sound after two years.
THIS STUFF STINKS! proper chemical whiff stopped us for 30 minutes. gave the lads a squeaky bum, wont buy it again.
Proper good stuff! Mixed up easy and was solid for fixing boards. Only one type of bag needed which is mint. Saves loads of faff on site.
Dual purpose basecoat and adhesive is fantastic saves a load of time on site. Mixes good holds striong on blockwork and concrete. Brilliant price too compared to the dearer tubs. Will stick with this going forward.
Cracking stuff. Dual-purpose adh saved space and hassle on site. Initial grab on the boards was proper strong, but the pot life was tight on a mild day. Mix small.
Work time was spot on. Proper dual purpose, saved me the hassle of extra gear.
Cracking 2in1 gear, honestly. Dual-purpose sorted the inventory and saved time. Consistency for dabs/mesh was sound, better pull than the last gear I had. Only docked a star cos you gotta move some lumber quickly when it gets warm—open time was a bit tight then.
This EWI-220 is bang on. Saves loads of time because it sticks boards firm and then handles the mesh too. Decent price for dual functionality.
Perfect match! Dual-purpose saves hassle. Adhesion is proper solid on concrete. Sets flexible whidch is key for the EPS boards. Decent gear.
Sorted! Fantastic consistency for basecoat & dabbing the boards. Saved a load of hassle using one bag, strong flexible finish. Five stars.
Brill stuff. Great dual-purpose kit. Adh is solid but too dusty when mixing and hard to float smooth. Not bad value though.
Only one bag needed. Top bond. Easy graft.
Top kit. One bag, two jobs, and stuck fast!
EWI-220 sorted site logistics, only one bag needed. Final finish is tough and flexi. Brill.
Good gear mixed up nicely. Using it for basecoat and adhesive means one less bag on site. Cracking.
Go-to stuff now. Basecoat & adhesive sorted. Brkll.
Adh is solid. Dual-purpose is ideal, but open time is a nightmare when the sun is out.
Spot on. One bag does board fixing & basecoat. Saved loadsa time, decent bond.
Solid adherence & versatile! Besyt kit.
two jobs one bag. Saved a lot of hassle on site. Sticks dead solid and gets a proper flat finish.
Top gear. Sticks rock solid.
Brill bit of kit. Mixed like a doddle and EPS boards stuck solid. My new go-to.
brill stuff. It's your adhesive AND your basecoat, so that dual-purpose splution is a massive win for site logistics and stock control. Mixed up pretty nicely, though I needed a small touch more water than the specs suggested to get the perfect 'peanut butter' consistency. Held strong on the concrete substrate, and it worked excellently embedding the mesh centrally for the basecoat layer.
Losing one star mainly down to site efficiency. That mandated 5-10 minute stand time when remixing feels dead long on a fast-paced job. Also, the coverage was slightly tight; I found I used more product per square metre thna expected for fixing the EPS, which meant reordering quicker than budgeted. It was good value compared to other trade brands though, definitely a sound adhesive and key component for the system.
One bag does it all. Absolutely brilliant!
Solid gear, only one bag needed for EPS!
This stuff is mint. Sticks like mad to the concrete, spreads lovely, and using one product cuts down so much site hassle. Top mark.
Great value. Used for boards & basecoat, dead easy!
Top notch, simple as. Having the single bag for both fixing and basecoat saves time and cash on site. That 2hr pot life meajs no rushing either. Plus, the 12-month shelf life makes this ideal for proper bulk ordering, no worries about wasting stock.
absolute shambles. dual-purpose my backside. They deliberately hide the bit about not using this render-only on bare masonry/blockwork. we wasted a full day sorting the spec out cos of this garbage description. cost me a bomb in lost labour. useless. go buy ceresit ZU instead.
saved me time. Adhesive and basecoat in one bag. Solid hold!
Adh/Basecoat dual function is brill. Saved time and space. Work window felt quick when warm.
Mixes proper. Saves hauling two bags. Sticks fast job done.
Saved a load of time. Dual-purpose EWI-220 stuck perfect to all our concrete.
EWI-220 is bang on as EPS adhesive. Found the basecoat layer side needed to be a bit more robust. Will use it again.
sorted. The dual-purpose gear worked prefectly for sticking the EPS up and the 6mm basecoat. Good flexible bond even on that rough wall. Great stuff!
One bag handles fixing the boards and the scrim layer. Consistency is spot on and it sticks down proper. No time wasted, brilliant product!
Dual purpose. Saves stock & watse
Dual-purpose is spot on. Saved a load of time, mixed easy, and gave me two hours working time. Highly recommend!
This 2-in-1 is brilliant. Saves hassle applies easy, and the waterproofing is proper decent. BRILL!
The dual-purpose nature is brilliant. Mixes dead easy and keeps the site clean. Stuck the EPS boards instantly, proper strong grip. Sorted.
Cracking dual use, saves cash.
Two-in-one! Saved serious faffing about with different bags. It bonds rock solid, great working time. Proper secure finjsh!
solid bond brill dual-use product saving hassle with two bags. Proper tough but a pain getting it off the paddle.
Dead easy to use. Dual purpose saves having two bags!
This 220 is proper sorted. Best EPS adhesive. Dual purpose meant only one bag needed onsite. Sticks strong and the mix (5.8L) works gopod first time. Saved cash.
Never Fails! Spot on every time for EPS jobs. Dual-purpose EWI-220 saves hassle and the consistency's a proper winner.
Dual-use factor saves van space, sound adh/basecoat. Needed proper work with the paddle mixer to get it smooth.
Sound Stuff. Saved a Load of Hassle. Ordered this based on the reviews, arrived quick, driver was sound too. Bags intact, good to go. The adhesive is brilliant stuff. Mixed it easily and the consistency was spot-on, really easy to trowel out, didn't slump at all. It grabbed the EPS boards instantly and holds them rock solid. Crucially, the dual-purpose saved me from needing two bags on site—less waste and less hassle. It spread nicely and the basecoat came out to the specified 6mm thickness perfectly. Performs better than competitor stuff I’ve tried. Won't be using anything else now. Amazing.
Fantastic stuff! Only one bag needed for fixing and basecoat. Proper mix, stuck solid to the concrete. Brill!
Brill gear! Two-in-one adhesive and basecoat, easy job.
strong stuff. EWI-220 did the job well, used it for both the EPS adh fixing and the basecoat skim. Great grab, gives a solid finish that cures well. Only real snag was the working time (pot life) seemed less than the 2 hours noted, felt quicker, which meant mixing up smaller batches on site and re-stirring took a bit longer than budgeted. Also, getting that basecoat dead on 6mm was proper hard work. Otherwise, sound performance and would buy again for EPS. Cheers.
Brill gear! One bag handles the adhesive and basecoat, saves so much time and hassle mate. Will reorder.
Dual-purpose stuff is decent. Fixed fast, no fuss.
Brill. Consistency bang on. Top gear.
Adequade product; coverage low. Lumpy mix, drys too quick.
Good value 2-in-1 bag. Grab is solid, strong gear. Not as smooth on the basecoat layer and set up too quick in the cool air.
Brill stuff mixs up dead smooth. Saves a load of hassle using it for basecoat too.
brilliant dual bag kit. Stix well but the 5.8L ratio makes for a very slack mix.
Brill gear for the price point, easy to fix the EPS on the wall. Took too much fuss hitting the 6mm BC thickness required.
Brill! One bag did the EPS boards and basecoat. Instructions clear, spread dead easy no mess.
Sound product. Proper 2in1 adhesive/basecoat, mixed easy and held the EPS fast.
Dual use saved a lot of hassle. Adhesion is proper job, but sets fast. Arms ached more than using Weber stuff.
The dual-purpose feature is a lifesaver. One bag for fixing and skimming means no mixing hassle, plus zero waste. Perfect results.
Saved a heap of bother using one bag. 6mm basecoat trowelled on perfect, worked good.
Knackered before I started. Its useless absolutely bolted solid. Day ruined total waste of money on this OLD stock. Never again!!
its dual-purpose is a lifesaver rock solid fixing spot on.
Dual-purpose saves site mess, less running around. Proper strong grab and great key.
EWI-220. Top quality basecoat/adhesive. Dual-purpose is brilliant stuck fast on the concrete.
Proper job! Dual use is spot on. Saves a massive amount of hassle on site not having two different bags. Mixed up dead smooth and stuck like anything, even to the rough painted wall.
Spot on basecoat adhesive. Used for glue and mesh saved us cash and site space
absolutely fuming over this 220 used it for the basecoat and mesh layer on the EPS following all the curing guides. after 1 week IT STARTED BLEEDING a nasty yellowish stain right thru the final topcoat render layer. WORST. BASECOAT. EVER. not only is the look RUINED but i have to spend days stripping and recoating the whole wall now which means 2 days lost profit for one facade because of cheap material. do not make this mistake get the PREMIUM basecoat trust me this budget cement will screw you.
Mint for EPS work, saved me ordering.
Fracking stuff. Dead easy to mix and it sticks the EPS like glue. Dual use meant less hassle on site. Sorted!
Only one bag needed. Saved money & hassle.
Right instructions were a shambles couldnt even read the water ratio on the bag, mate. The print was illegible! Ended up having to bodge the first bucket which cost me a full hour of labour waiting for their office to pick up the phone. Utter waste of time!!! You buy EWI adhesive to get on with the job, not phone support to find out the 5.8 litres figure.
Spot on! Sticks like anything and spreads lovely. Saved a proper faff.
The EPS stick is solid right enough I'll give it that. But the mixing is heavy work mate way too dusty and awkward to get the right water ratio. Usability time felt closer to 90 mins not 2 hours, that caused proper wastage on site. Had to chase CS just to track the delivery, too. Could be better, the faff just raises the final job cost.
Proper stick on EPS. Dual-use win.
Brilliant kit, used as adhesive and basecoat. Stuck the EPS dead on the wall, no sag and great grab. Flexibility is superb keeps the system sound.
awful bloody rubbish! the 25kg bag ripped clean open during transit wasting the load what a nightmare. after salvaging enough the product itself is terrible. 5.8 litres gives a soupy mess that ceacks like river mud when drying. it set far too qhickly but still remained soft underneath. wasted a full day trying to use this absolute dtoss. switch to cerexsit or sika.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Proper job. Switched entirely to EWI-220 now for all my standard EPS applications. Saved loads of faff not having to order separate adhesive and basecoat—that streamlining alone is good value. Easy to mix up the mixing ratios gave a perfect batch every time. Trowelled out beautifully great spreadability and those EPS boards adhered dead securely to the concrete sub-straight without any sag or slip. Two hours working time felt about right. It provides excellent flexibility and holds up perfectly against the bad weather conditions. Strong gear. Highly recommend this product.
Brilliant. Trows on well. No sag when embedding the scrim. Solid gear.
Handy only hving the one bag on site. Adh is strong & did the job well.
EWI-220 is spot on. Dual use saves so much faff on site, mixed great, covered really well.
Solid two-in-one adh/base. Sorted.
Utter chaos from ordering to application. Delivery was wefeks late and unprofessional. The dry mix felt old clumpec up and set rock ard on the hawk in less than 60 mins. Didn't stick the EPS boards correctly. You waste money saving a fiver. Total shamblse. AVOID.
Saves bags and it works good. Proper job done!
brill dual-purpose ADH. Handy only needing one bag for fixing EPS and basecoat. Consistency was spot on *after* the re-mix, but definitely felt like it needed a bit longer than the clock says to get ready. Great quality for the price though.
order 25kg basecoat adhesive get tiny 15kg bag. Seriously not on. Now i have wasted hald day waiting on delivery only for this job-stopper palaver. absolute joke EWI store, why cant you get simple logistics right? save ya money and go somewhere else. ruvbbish.
Saves stocking two types of mix. Brilliant for dabs and the kmesh layer stuck solid on the concrete. Great value.
Mixed up a doddle, dead easy to spread and stick boards quick. Brill!
Cracking quality. EPS stuck llike glue!
Best adhesive/basecoat Ive used. Easy mix perfect consistency, dead simple to get on the boards. Keeps its bond.
Amazing! Adh/BC is bang on holds EPS solid. Dual use saves money/space well chuffed. Needed a splash more water than the spec sheet said tho.
Brill, saved loads of bagas! Stuck great.
Proper EPS gear. Dua-purpose adhesive & basecoat, mixed spot on, solid bond!

This dual-purpose stuff is proper mint. Boards are stuck solid job sorted! Great coverage too.
EWI-220 mixed bang on grab was instant. Dual-purpose is dead handy saves ordering twice. Rock solid final basecoat. So pleased!
absolute joke that lad sold me a pup on the phone i specificaly aksed if this 220 would stick to lightweight block mate said use 301 primer and it completely failed total time-waster now I've had to chip it all back off dont trust their customer servlice rubbish adfice costs jobs.
Best gear for EPS hands down. Dual-purpose saves massive site faff!!!
Top quality stuff. The dual-purpose meant only one bag needed on site, massive time-saver. Mixes up dead easy and stays workable for the full two hours. It held the EPS boards fast, proper grip on the cellular concrete wall. Trowelled out smoorh over the mesh. Better coverage than the spec says, too. Brill.
Brill dual-purpose adhesive. No lumps when mixed and trowels out edad easy.
Spot on. One bag for fixing and basecoat, saves hassle and it's easy to trowel smooth. Boards stuck hard!
Good adh. Needs more water than the bag said.
Brill dual-purpose EPS. One bag, job done fast.
Mixes spot on. The dual purpose saves so much hassle having only one bag on site. Highly recommended, will purchase again!
Great stuff, stuck the EPS soundly. Mixing dust and low coverage dropped it to 4 stars.
Amazing stuff! Dual purpose is a massive time saver, only one bag needed. Mixes easy, proper basecoat for the mesh. Sorted.
One bag on site is brilliant. Solid bond, dead easy.
Dual-purpose glue/basecoat. Absolute Brill.
Dual-use meant less faff on site. Mix took a good trowel finish & stuck solid.
Dual purose. Consistency spot on!
One bag solution: sorted the mix & the basecoat. Dead easy application, smooth finish, no cracking.
