Discover spray machines designed for applying basecoats and selected thin coat renders on façades and walls. The range is built for speed, precision and a professional finish on residential and commercial projects across the UK.

Spray machines for render and basecoat

Use purpose built machines to place cement based basecoat evenly before ruling off, or to apply an approved thin coat render that is then floated to texture. Pair with adhesives and basecoats and the right render systems to achieve consistent results on large areas with reduced application time.

What is a render spray machine

A render spray machine meters material and projects it through a nozzle to the surface. Mixing pumps combine bagged powder and water for continuous output, while pumping units move ready mixed products to a spray gun. Hopper guns use compressed air at the gun for small areas and detail work.

Types of spray machines for render

    • Mixing pumps for basecoats and monocouche, designed to keep a steady mix and deliver material at working speed.

    • Pumping units for approved thin coat materials, moving product to the gun with consistent pressure and flow.

    • Hopper guns with compressed air for test panels, reveals and areas where a compact setup is ideal.

    Benefits for large areas

On uninterrupted elevations the right machine can complete passes in a fraction of the usual time. Contractors can maintain pace across bays, keep thickness even, and reduce fatigue while still delivering a smooth, uniform surface ready for finishing.

Achieving a smooth and consistent finish

Select the correct nozzle and hose length, keep a constant distance to the wall, and overlap passes cleanly. After spraying, rule off with Skimming Blades and spatulas, then finish with render and sponge floats to remove light ridges and set the textured finish before the final close with a stainless steel trowel.

    Set up, mixing and filters

Use clean water, follow the specified ratio, and keep sieves and filters clear to protect the pump. Consistent mixing improves performance and makes ruling off and floating easier. Keep spare nozzles and seals ready so the job is not interrupted.

    Compact and easily transportable options

Many machines are compact and easily transportable, designed for professionals who need reliable output and simple handling from project to project. The equipment is suitable for façades, gables and plinths where access is planned in advance.

When to spray and when to hand apply

Spray on large scale projects with repeatable bays to maximise efficiency. Hand apply on small repairs, complex junctions or in poor weather. Respect the system rules for thickness per pass, open time, and the correct window for floating or scraping.

    Accessories that improve workflow

Keep Skimming Blades, floats and scrapers close to hand, along with buckets for mixing and clean down. Organised equipment and clear access help the team maintain speed and finish quality.

    Safety, cleaning and good practice

Wear suitable protection, mask adjacent surfaces, and keep walkways clean. Flush hoses at breaks and at the end of the day so the machine is ready for use the next morning. A tidy process improves durability of the completed work.
