Metal Fixing with Short Expansion Zone (WKTHERM-08)

WKRET-MET –  Metal Fixing with Short Expansion Zone is used to fasten polystyrene EPS foam and mineral wool to category A, B and C substrates. With a metal pin head sealed in plastic, this fixing has a very low thermal transmittance which protects the pin against corrosion. The short expansion zone with a diameter of 8mm provides maximum strength of the fixing with a minimum workload and maintaining low equipment outlays.

Sizing and Quantities

The lengths of fixings available are:

• 8mm x 115mm (200 fixings per box)
• 8mm x 135mm (200 fixings per box)
• 8mm x 155mm (200 fixings per box)
• 8mm x 175mm (200 fixings per box)

Intended Uses

The Metal Fixing are used to fix the EPS, XPS and Mineral insulations insulation to the substrate.

These mechanical fixings are suitable for concrete, brick and other blockwork. If in doubt about the suitability of the substrate, it is recommended a pull test is carried out to ensure it is strong enough to support an EWI system.
