Rockwool Insulation Roll

Rockwool Insulation Roll is one of the most cost-effective and efficient ways to insulate your home. Made up of medium density mineral wool insulation, the Rockwool Insulation Roll offers acoustic properties, A1 fire resistance and excellent thermal performance. This is the ideal loft insulation material as it is water repellent and incredibly easy to handle and install.

Manufactured at a width of 1200mm, the Rockwool Insulation Roll can be cut at either 400mm or 600mm widths with the use of a long serrated blade to fit your area as required. Rockwool Roll products are highly versatile and can be used for a range of roof applications.

Rockwool Insulation Roll should be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation guidelines – these should cover design and all aspects of the application of the insulation. Loft insulation should not be placed directly under cold water tanks. To preserve the continuity of the loft insulation, loft hatch covers should be insulated with a minimum 100mm thickness of Rockwool – we recommend using double-sided adhesive tape to hold the insulation in place.

To minimise heat loss through the timbers, Rockwool Insulation Roll should be cross-layered between and over the ceiling joists, which are normally spaced at 400mm or 600mm centres. The second layer of Roll is then cross-layered to cover the first layer of insulation and the ceiling joists.

Shelf life: please see the manufacturer’s date of expiry. Keep in a dry place, in the original packaging. Avoid excess heat or UV light exposure.
