Parex Monorex GF

Parex Monorex is a through-coloured monocouche render, used for creating a breathable, decorative finish on external walls. The render is totally weather-resistant, so can withstand challenging conditions to maintain a perfect finish.

Parex Monorex is ideal for application using a spray machine as it is semi-lightweight and very easy to process. It is available in a wide range of colours to suit a variety of preferences.

Parex Monorex comes as a dry mix in 30kg bags. The bag needs to be mixed with 6.5-7.5 litres of clean potable water using an electric paddle mix. It is recommended the render is mixed for 5 minutes to achieve the required consistency. Parex Monorex is then ready for use. When hardened, the product should not be re-mixed with fresh material.

Spray texture: Parex Monorex should be applied in a compact, level pass of 13-15mm. A Fibreglass Mesh should be embedded within this pass, before it is allowed to dry completely. The textured finish should then be sprayed on and either left to dry, or for a smooth textured finish, a plastic float can be used to compress the sprayed finish before it has completely set.

Scraped finish: To achieve a scraped finish, simply apply an 18mm thick coat of the Parex Monorex. The surface needs to be perfectly smooth and level, before it is left to dry for a period of 3-16 hours. Once dry, the surface should be scraped using a scratch float, removing a maximum of 3mm from the surface of the render. The scratching process needs to take place at the same stage of drying for each elevation, as early scraping can result in a darker shade.

Application Conditions

  • Hardening times will vary according to climatic conditions.
  • The render should not be applied on substrates exposed to direct sun or hot drying winds.
  • Parex Monorex should not be applied in cold weather, if the materials or the substrate are frozen, or if there is any risk of frost damage within the first 24 hours.
  • Parex Monorex should not be applied in temperatures above 30°C. Special precautions should be taken for applications above this temperature.
  • For professional use only.
