Magply Render Carrier Board offers the perfect substrate board for thin coat and cementitious renders. Suitable for steel and timber frame constructions, Magply is a high-strength board manufactured using inorganic substances and reinforcement meshes, which provide excellent dimensional stability.
Rated as A1 non-combustible, Magply render carrier board is a high-performance substrate that is resistant to frost, moisture, fire and has been tested for use with a variety of render systems. They’re easy to cut, use and fix with edge fixing nails, screws or staples, making installation as simple as possible.
Magply boards must be fixed to vertical and horizontal studs on each side of a partition wall and attached vertically to the substrate/frame using stainless steel fixings. Magply boards can be cut to size using the score and snap method. Fixings must be spaced a minimum of 12mm from the edge and 20mm from the corner of the board. For timber frames, a 2mm gap should be left between boards and a 5mm gap above a finished floor level.
Magply should not be left exposed to the weather. If Magply is allowed to absorb moisture, ensure it is allowed to thoroughly dry out before installation of any final surface finish.
